Strategic Master Plan for Higher Education in Washington

The Higher Education Coordinating Board is charged with creating a strategic master plan for higher education once every 10 years, with updates every four years.

The 2008 plan, adopted December 2007, was presented to the 2008 Legislature for review and approval. See: HCR 4408

In November 2008, the HECB approved a plan for implementing the policy goals and recommendations of the 2008 plan. This report provides analysis and strategies to guide the development of the state’s higher education system over the next decade and beyond.

2008 Master Plan: 10-year Implementation Process
