The Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board is a state agency governed by a 10-member citizen board. We are charged by state law with representing the "broad public interest" in higher education and are dedicated to helping students succeed. Federal grant targets access, success among under-servedThe HECB is administering a two-year, $2.2 million federal College Access Challenge Grant designed to increase college access and success among under-served populations, a major goal of the new Strategic Master Plan for Higher Education.
