Managing State and Federal Grants

The Higher Education Coordinating Board administers several state and federally funded grant programs. Please follow the links below for detailed information about current grants.

Child Care Grants - grants awarded to colleges to assist them with providing child care programs for their students

Community Scholarship Matching Grant program - encourages local organizations to raise money to help students pay for college

Distinguished Professorships and Graduate Fellowships

Educators for the 21st Century - (formerly Improving Teacher Quality Grants) funded by the U.S. Dept. of Education in accordance with Title II Part A of the No Child Left Behind Act

GEAR UP grant - focuses on preparing many low-income seventh graders for college success by providing intensive tutoring, mentoring, college, and career planning information throughout their middle and high school years
