Washington State Work Study Program

Through part-time work, students earn money for college, often while gaining experience in jobs related to their career goals. The State Work Study (SWS) program also provides students with an alternative to high levels of borrowing.

The state's two- and four-year colleges and universities, and many accredited independent four-year colleges and universities, offer this form of financial assistance to eligible students.

High Demand, Community Service and Incentive grant applications are no longer available, however, High Employer Demand (HED) now is.

2009-10 SWS High Employer Demand

The HECB invites institutions to submit applications establishing projects that would receive additional State Work Study funding (including administrative support) to promote student involvement in the targeted areas of High Employer Demand (HED).
