Financial Aid Program Administration

The Higher Education Coordinating Board (HECB) is charged by state law with administering state-funded student financial assistance and coordinating state and federal aid programs to provide the best possible service to students and ensure the best use of state resources.

Opportunity Pathway - The 2009 Washington Legislature authorized the HECB (effective 2009), and public institutions of higher education, beginning in the 2010-11 academic year, to label all financial aid programs an Opportunity Pathway.

Go to: Washington Opportunity Pathways to see the complete list of the state's financial aid programs and links for more information about each individual program.
