Ethelda Burke is superintendent of the Tukwila School District.  She has more than 20 years of experience working in school districts as a high school teacher, assistant principal, principal, and assistant superintendent for high school education.

Ms. Burke is a member of the University of Washington Professional Education advisory board, Key Bank Southern Puget Sound District advisory board, Tacoma Youth Symphony board, and Cultural Council of Greater Tacoma. Previously, she served on the University of Washington Tacoma advisory board and United Way of Pierce County executive board.
