Ann Daley joined the HECB in February 2007. Her 34-year career as a senior executive and policy adviser in state government includes extensive experience in higher education – most recently as executive director of Washington Learns, where she led a comprehensive review of the state’s public education system.
Daley was the first woman to serve as director of the Office of Financial Management (1993) and also held positions as Assistant State Treasurer (1993-1997), chair of the Pollution Control Board and Shorelines Hearings Board (1997-2000), and as a senior policy adviser to Govs. Booth Gardner and Gary Locke.
Daley served as vice president for administration and finance at The Evergreen State College from 2001 to 2004, as executive director of the HECB from 1989 to 1993, as a member of the HECB from 1993 to 1995, and as a University of Washington Regent from 1995 to 1997.
