2011 Special Session

The Washington Legislature will hold a special session beginning Nov. 28, 2011 to address a $1.4 billion projected revenue shortfall over the remainder of the 2011-13 biennium. 

A proposed 2012 supplemental budget prepared by Gov. Chris Gregoire called for further reductions in state support for public colleges and universities totaling $160.1 million. The proposal also called for suspension of the State Work Study program effective fall term 2012.
